Stuck on which 2 games to get

So I got a birthday coupon for EB games that gives me 40% off any recycled (used) game when I buy one of equal or greater value. I'm trying to figure out which games I should get.

These are the games I had in Mind

Zoo Tycoon

Thief (own for 360, but wouldn't mind playing it again for more achievements)

Dead Rising 3

AC Black Flag

Wolfenstein: The New Order

What's Dead Rising 3 like? How does it compare to the previous games? I thought they were ok, but I always found myself getting bored of them very quickly.

I know almost nothing about the AC series. I only played the first game many years ago when I borrowed it off a friend and I thought it was decent. If I decide to get Black Flag, is it recommended to pick up and play the previous games first, or does it not
matter? From what I've heard, I feel like I'd really enjoy this game.

I know absolutely nothing about Wolfenstein aside from the few minutes I took to read about it on wiki. I wanna think of it as a less stealthy version of dishonored. Would that be slightly accurate?

Finally, are there any games you guys would recommend? The only games I have for Xbox One are Titanfall, Outlast and the free games. I have CoD: Ghosts and PvZ for 360, but unlike Thief, those are not games I would buy a second time for more achievements.

Dragon's Dogma or Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning?

So I'm stuck on which of these two games to get. Any advice?

Yeah, I would advise waiting just a little, as most of the games you mentioned are going to be in the christmas sale, but I would recommend Dust: An Elysian Tale

 

Dead Rising 3 is the best of the three by a long shot, the amount of zombies on screen is amazing, I suggest three of them, DR 3, Wolfenstein and AC Black Flag, I have all three and they're good.

Wolfenstein was a great reboot for the series, one i enjoyed thoroughly from start to finish.

Black Flag is supposed to be amazing, i picked it up from GAME cheap this weekend but havent played it yet.

not a fan of the dead rising series so that's only a no from me, i know loads of people on here really enjoy it though, the others titles are just meh.

 

Ac4 and dr3 are great choices IMO. There is a huge update for dr3 so you know. I had alot if fun with dr3 the amount of zombies and weapons customizations aw great. Story isn't amazing but I enjoyed the gameplay alot. Ac4 IMO is the best in the series so
far. You can read up on what you missed on the others if you wanna know where the story is at. I had last played the brotherhood (3rd one). So I just read up on the ones I missed worked out good.

 

I say Black Flag and Dead Rising 3.

 

I loved Dead Rising 3, a lot of fun. Much better than the previous ones in my opinion.

AC Black Flag is a great game if you like the pirate theme. Personally i never finished any of the AC games until i got Black Flag. I loved sailing around and attacking ships. Great game.

Wolfenstein i've just started, but it's really fun. At least for now It's a nice no brainer shooter game, with some macho attitude.

As for recommending other games:

Ryse (I know people don't think it's that great a game, but i don't regret buying it. Truly liked it. Awesome graphics.)

Battlefield 4 (If you like to play online it's a great shooter. But it's kinda the taste preferance. Some like fastpaced COD action, some like more simulation. )

Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (If you haven't played it yet, it's a good game. Worth it.)

Murdered Soul Suspect (A decent game. I quite enjoyed it. Although very short, and some quirks. But a decent buy)

Sniper Elite 3 (A big improvement on the last two. Fun and addicting. Also has Co-op which is always a bonus.)

It's basically a matter of what you like to play. Go on Twitch and search for the various games you want to know more about, take a look at people playing it and you get an idea if its for you or not.

 

Black Flag for a ripping open world story, with a great mixture of land and sea based objectives, you don't need any previous AC knowledge. I have played them all and it's the best of the series (IMO)

Wolfenstien is pretty but essentially a standard FPS, nothing really exciting (IMO)

Enjoyed DR3 but found it a bit repetitive with a lot of fetch quests that meant criss crossing the map over and over, yes there are she'd loads of zombies but they don't really pose much of a threat, they are just fodder. I think the only time I died was
a boss battle and even then once you have a certain weapon they present no challenge.

 

Dead Rising 3 was far superior to the other Dead Rising's. And AC4 is a good game. Those are the 2 I recommend from your list

 

out of that list, i've only played Dead Rising 3 and Wolfenstein, both are really good, but i'd say Dead Rising 3 has the better replay value for collectibles and Co-op and general zombie mayhem.

 

I also agree with Angryvatos recommendations for games not on your list!

 

Dead Rising 3 and Wolfenstein are my votes.

 

I forgot about Tomb Raider. I've already beaten it on 360 :}

I also completely forgot about Ryze. I think I'm gonna go with Ryze and DR 3 and I will probably pick up Black Flag when I'm done with those 2 games. If those 3 games don't keep me busy until august 26th (Metro Redux release date; the beginning of all the
great games to come late in the year ) then I may pick up Wolfenstein.

I would say DR3 and AC Black Flag. Both have good replay value, and both are fun to play.
