Stuck on "Restarting" screen after downloading console update

I turned my Xbox on this morning from standby and it hadn't updated yet. I put in PvZ Garden Warfare because I wanted to download the new content but as soon as that started downloading I got the progress bar for the system update and now I've been stuck
on the "Restarting...this may take a moment" screen for about a half an hour. How long should I wait it out before I manually restart my console?

Issues With Update

I will start the update on my console, things are fine and it will say "restarting" usually after that it's supposed to power back on and things run smoothly. For me, the screen stays black and the power light will blink. I have tried lettting it stay
on to see if it will fix itself, but it will literally have a black screen and blinking light for days.

Well, if it haven't moved at all for an hour or so, somethings wrong. (duh!....)

I would try and close all games and running applications by using the controller and pressing the option button (same as the old start used to be) choosing quit.

Could be that its not downloading because there are other stuff running in the background.

If that dosen't work or isn't applicable, I would restart the console, (hard power off) ny holding the power button for 5 seconds. Note: I would not recommend this IF the progress bar on the install have moved... but if its standing still means that it's
not finished downloading NOR installing. So go ahead.
