Stuck on Insider build (xb_flt 26100.4020) after SSD swap – OSU1 retail fails with...

OSU1 and OSU2 is not compatible with insiders builds

I have the same or probably the same issue. Boots directly in the troubleshooting screen with error code 106.

The troubleshooting screen says that the build on the device is '19041.3773.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2008.200819-0000'. It is enrolled in the xbox insider program (last time I'm doing this mistake...)

When trying to do an offline update it fails, although the OSU1 build is newer than the one installed on the device...

Luckily I have 2 more months of warranty and just created the service order. I wonder if they tell what the issue was or only repair it...

I would recommend
submitting that feedback to the Xbox Insider team. They do a lot of work in getting early release software ready and running as easily as possible. When it comes to applying system updates it is a very tricky process that involves steps not easily backed
out of, and due to the nature of the Xbox Insiders program, it's quite possible that there is a problem with the Insider version you're trying to update to, so the safest route back to get you into a working state is to restore to a certified and tested current
release instead of a wonky in progress update patch. But hey, the Insider team is going to be smarter than me on this, so I'd say submit it to them; I'm not sure how active they are on the forums and you have a direct line built in to the program.

Actually @aqua all levels of insiders can still unenroll aa im in skip ahead alpha and have unenrolled and reenrolled in mins after a bad update

Keep in mind I havr a windows 10 laptop that I can use the insiders app to do so lol
