Stuck On Green Screen After Update

My system just gave me an update when I turned it on of around 1GB. After downloading and installing, my system is now stuck on the green startup screen. Yes i've tried a hard reset and it is still stuck.

Troubles with offline system update

Im trying and trying to update system with offline system updater after green screen, but it allways stucks on update installation or verifying

same issue was kicked offline to update did so after update black screen for 20m did a hard reboot now stuck on green screen. download offline update tool. Will update if it solves the issue

 

Same thing has just happened to me. May as well call Microsoft in the morning about it. Can't believe this happened right before Halo 5.

 

Yup, my Halo 5 pre-order has been canceled. Im not buying anything else on the XBox One until they fix these issues. Between this, and losing everything on my external hard drive, I don't feel safe with my data. Now I had to download their little fix which
wipes my internal clean. My bandwidth cap is already nearly gone for the month, and I can't keep redownloading all my games and updates. Needless to say, with Halo 5, and Rise of The Tomb Raider out of the picture, i'll be putting that cash into some new PS4
games. I don't want to, but what good are they if I keep losing my data? As is, i'll be spending the next 2 months recovering what I lost off my first external.

 

Doing a USB Restore Factory Defaults will fix this issue. It's a bit of work and you need a usb flash drive but it's the only why to fix it with out sending in your xbox. It will also leave you with a working build that you were supposed to get

If you read my second post you'd see I already did that. The system is off the green screen and on the worthless NXE, but that doesn't change the fact I lost everything off my internal hard drive. Yes im aware I can redownload it. However a lot of people
like myself have something called bandwidth caps. My cap is nearly maxed for the month thanks to trying to recover data lost when the update made my external useless. So now im probably looking at the next 3 months to recover what I lost. What desire do I
have to buy anything new for the system when im potentially looking at losing it all again thanks to Microsoft releasing updates like this? I've been in the beta a long time and have seen lots of bugs before, but not close to this bad.
