Stuck on epic login screen

I have been playing successfully with my XBOX Live account linked to Fortnite. Today however, I was no longer able to login. I am stuck on the Epic Login screen after I typed in my Epic credentials. No controller keys work while I'm on that screen. I have to click the XBOX button and get to the main console screen.

I tried to delete the local saved game data and restart the console. but this did not help - the same login screen continues to show and it won't allow any button to work.

Please help.

When I go to play fortnite it goes to the login screen then it goes to another screen it goes back to the login screen

Hi I get this alot I have an Xbox and other people use my account when sharing I've found when people Epic accounts on your Xbox and log in under there name a file error occurs

Press the Xbox button on top

Press my games and apps

Press see all

Scroll to the game with the problem Fortnite

Press manage game button

Clear delete quick resume file

Restart the game should start over from startup

Old history will not be deleted only quick resume file deleted been going on for a year plus now bummer 😕

Does the issue happen to your other games? Or this issue is specific to Fortnite only?

Check your network connection:
Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
- Test connection, multiplayer, and NAT type.

To further isolate the issue, try to connect using a different network connection like your mobile data hotspot.

Make sure to also perform a power cycle. Press and hold Xbox's power button for 10 sec until it turns off. Unplug the power supply for 30 sec. Plug it back in and turn it on again.
