stuck on "Choose how you look on Xbox" page

Whenever im trying to make an xbox account for this email, i get directed to the "Choose how you look on Xbox" page. No matter what username I put in, whenever I press the "lets go" button, i am not directed to any other page, and i am stuck in the same page where I can still interact with it.

My partner has exactly the same problem. We have tried creating an account on xbox, computer, phones - same problem everywhere. I've been trying to contact XBOX support for a few hours now, but so far with no result.

As far as I can see this is a problem present among other players too, there is a post on the XBOX Reddit where people are reporting exactly the same problem.

I assume that the problem lies with Microsoft, but it is difficult to reach any tech support.

Have you already tried to create it using a different device or internet browser? I actually have seen few users having the same issue.

If it does the same thing, there may be a temporary problem on their end. It would be best to wait and try it again at a later time.

You could also report it through https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status > Report a service outage.
