    Stuck at "Preparing console" after update


    after the most recent update was downloading, my console has been at the same stage in the progress bar for about an hour. It says to not turn off so how long does this update(after downloading) take usually to install?

    Stuck on 50% preparing console

    Hi I don't get an error code it literally is stuck at 50% and nothing will happen. I'm scared to turn it off or anything as I know that can corrupt files so I really am stuck

    Stuck at "Preparing console" after update

    Hey there. I assume you're in the preview program? Quite a few people have been experiencing this. The recommended troubleshooting is turning the console off by holding the Xbox logo for 10 seconds until it shuts down and unplugging it for 30 seconds (sometimes
    you will have to leave it unplugged longer). If that doesn't work, you'll have to do a factory reset using the Offline System Update Diagnostic tool (support.xbox.com/.../offline-system-update-diagnostic-tool).

    You'll also want to post in the preview forums for all preview related issues (forums.xbox.com/.../default.aspx)

    After doing the hard reset I'm stuck on the green Xbox logo screen once I launched my xb1 again

    I would hard reset again but leave it unplugged for 5 minutes. If that still doesn't help, run the factory reset. Keep in mind you will have to reinstall all games and apps on your internal hard drive after doing so.

    I still can't get past the green logo screen. I really don't want to lose the hard drive contents, but how do I do a factory reset when I can't get past this screen?
