Stuck at green screen after auto shut down

Hi. Earlier today I was watching Netflix on my Xbox One and was in a party talking to a friend. Netflix started to buffer then the system automatically restarted. After the restart it stayed stuck at the green screen when the power turns on (with the logo).
I let it sit for 5 minutes then restarted the system again. I let it sit for 15 minutes this time and still nothing. I unplugged everything and let it sit for a while. After turning it back on again, I fell asleep. When I woke up two and a half hours passed
by and it was still stuck on the screen. I looked the problem on Google they were talking about the initial update after purchasing the system. I would like some help and advice on what the next step should be. Thank you.

xb1 would not play a disc

Last night playing BF4 got dumped back to the home screen like you. So pressed the BF4 tile to restart and the console shut down! On reboot it took ages at one one point it was stuck on the Green screen for a good few mins. All has seemed well since so fingers crossed.

Turn your console on and if after 10 minutes it still doesn't boot up, try holding the console power button for 8 seconds until it turns off, then wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on and see if this gives you a different result. The power cycle process
will clear the cache which may fix whatever problem is going on. Let us know if this helps.

I had did that a few times before posting. I did exactly as instructed in your post this time. After the 30 sec wait, I let it sit for another 10 mins and it was still at the green screen with the Xbox One logo.

i belive, you have updated your X1 at this time. But if not, this could help you, if the x1 is stuck on the green screen.

I downloaded the OSUDT2 because that is the one that fits my situation. I have tried it multiple times exactly the way the article says to do it. I do get the two confirmation beeps, but when it reboots it just goes back to the first green start-up animation
and stays there.

 

I'm sorry to hear that, but the next step would be to start a service request.

 

I want to thank both of you for helping with this problem. I'm going to put in a repair request in the morning.

 

Leaf, you may want to try to unplug the power cord to the X1 for a minute or so , then plug back in and try again. This may not fix the situation, but i have seen this does work at times.
