Strike Suit Zero: Director's Cut dated for April 9

Ok now the game is getting tougher.

Just getting to the end of mission 3, no spoilers but you have to defend something whilst taking out 2 bigger opponents.

Took me 3 attempts lol.

Not a frustrating game by any means, just a matter of not going in head on, got to learn/find the enemies weak spots.

What I forgot to mention earlier is the games music/soundtrack, stunning and really adds to the atmosphere, especially when in an all out battle, or flying on your own just waiting for something to ambush you.

 

With the multiple playthroughs required does anyone know if you start with a "new game plus"?

Or is it all reset to level zero?

 

I have read someone say what ships/upgrades you unlock you can use for a second play through but can't confirm this.

 

Well it's a fun game so far.

The big dissapointment for me is why couldn't they have made full game version of this instead of an XBox LIVE Arcade title?

It's the closest you'll get to "Project Sylpheed" this Generation... right down to straight copying some of the missions... but it is a very pretty and rewarding game most of the time.

But the "Budget Factor" just keeps rearing it's ugly head and it's immersion breaking to see cracked ships in space that simply look like biscuits that have been cracked in half with no effort to even give the illusion that there ever was an "Inside" to
these things.

Not dissapointed that I got the game but it's another upsetting example of wasted game potential.

 

This I will probably pick up further down the lines. There's too many games I am holding out for this month and soon after for me to invest in this. Cant say Project Sylpheed rings any bells for me, is this an older title?

Brilliant game. The best dogfighting game you'll find on console.

If you've still got your 360 it's worth picking up.

(£6.00 on Amazon at the moment)

Gameplay wise this is practically a budget version of the same game.
