Strict NAT...WTF???

I can not get my XBox One to come off of a Strict NAT. Its very troubling because up until roughly a week ago, it was open and everything was fine. I remember no "event" taking place that would have changed anything. It always worked just great and was
an Open NAT. Now for no reason that I can figure, it is Strict.

I have gone through the settings for my router suggested on this website and nothing works! Can anyone help me? I have tried everything I can think of.

Router: Netgear WNDR3400v3

Not sure if it matters or not but it is doing the same thing to a ps4 connected through the same router. Again, everything was fine and Open for YEARS until a a week or so ago and now both consoles are stuck on Strict!!?? Grrrrrrrr

:)

Can't find wireless network

Wired connection seems to work.

NAT is showing as 'strict'. Wonder why the wireless is playing up.

Sorry, I missread your post. Not sure what my modem is. I am on a wireless network and the modem is the radio that is on an antenna on my roof. Again, I stress that I have had this setup for YEARS with no issues and then out of nowhere.....boom.

Most likely , your is has changed something on their end.....does your router plug into the antenna thingy ?

I spoke with my IS and nothing has changed on their side. I know the guy I spoke to and he gave me a static IP straight to their internet portal so nothing was between me and the internet as a test and it still listed the XBox as Strict. At this point
I am down to trying a new router....cant think of anything else it might be.

10. I doubt it's the router...does the router plug into the antenna on the roof ? ....if yes , unplug the router and plug in the Xbox , reboot everything and check again...

Your saying to bypass the router?

12. Yes. If still strict at that point , it's your is or the antenna thingy on the roof..

Strict NAT...WTF???

I am at my wits end with this! Still cant get off "Strict" NAT on both my XBox One and my ps4. No matter what I try, nothing fixes it. My IP has gone through everything they can think of as well and nothing fixes it from there either. I guess my multi-player
days are done....it just sucks.
I know the guy I spoke to and he gave me a static IP straight to their internet portal so nothing was between me and the internet as a test and it still listed the XBox as Strict.
It has no meaning to NAT if your
IP address is statically or dynamically assigned. What matters to NAT, is if the IP address, assigned by your ISP, is publicly routable on the Internet, or not.

Your Netgear's WAN information would reveal such information.

Yea having a static ip only means your ip wont change. NAT issues are usually caused by other things such the firewall being overly 'strict' on what data passes though the xbox to the outside of the internet. See as you said you placed the xbox in the dmz
of the router and its still strict tells me it might then be an issue with the antenna on the roof or the router itself. If you cannot bypass the router then you can try getting a different on and placing your xbox in dmz and if the problem is still there
then it can rule out the router and narrow the problem down to the antenna
