Oh this is a pain in the butt. Turn your firewall rules off, do some port forwarding etc etc. I get this all the time and it gets annoying after a while. Always check your XB IP address, it will randomly changed and you may have ports set up for a different
IP. Mine flucuates between ***.***.***.02, ***.***.***.03, ***.***.***.04 etc

Typically, shutting your router off for 30 seconds and turning on again solves this problem. If it does not it could be because your xbox previously had a different IP address, and the port forwarding are still set to your old IP. You have to log onto your
router, looking at the port forwarding page, and add the xbox live ports to your new IP (then delete them from the old one just to clean up)

How many wireless devices do you have off your router...eg. laptops, ipad, smartphone? Wireless device can clog down your routers network taking priority away from your Xbox...that's why it can be random. I static IP all devices on my network, including
PC, and leave my xbox's on auto. That way they always have priority over the DCHP.

Just put your xbox in your routers DMZ , you'll never have any nat issues again because it bypasses the routers hardware firewall , thats whats causing your issues. You can forward as many ports as you like but the issue will come back because all routers
are flakey when it comes to their software.

[/quote]This will effect the security of your whole network, and should only be done as an absolute last resort.
