Strict NAT Unless I Hard reboot

It's now got to the point that EVERY time I boot up my XBOX One, if i go to Network Settings it is showing as strict and if I press and hold the Xbox power button for 5 seconds until it powers down then reboot, it's back to open.

This is without restarting my router, and is every single night. When you mainly play multiplayer online games this is a real pain. Is there an issue with my XBOX or is this normal?

I had a nightmare with my NAT strict. I went through Microsoft, my ISP and the maker of my router. I did DMZ, router resets and reboots, port forwarding. So in the end I did something that nobody mentioned. I did a factory reboot on my Xbox one. I went from
Strict to Open but before I did the reset I moved all my games and apps to my external hard drive.

 

Can't connect to Xbox live

You need to open your NAT settings, they are either strict or moderate. If they are either strict or moderate you cannot connect to anyone unless they have open settings.

ports you need open for xbox live to work;

These ports must be open for Xbox Live to work:

Port 88 (UDP)

Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)

Port 53 (UDP and TCP)

Port 80 (TCP)

Port 500 (UDP)

Port 3544 (UDP)

Port 4500 (UDP)

you might wanna contact your ISP about port forwarding and see if they can open them for you. if not manually do it.
