    Strict NAT type & high ping?


    So for the past week or so I've noticed that my NAT type is on Strict, I've gone through all the necessary steps on the Activision support website to open the ports for the game on my router and it still says strict. This is affecting how long it takes me
    to match make and find a game.

    Also, for the past week or so I've noticed that when joining games, I can be within really smooth connection games.. then the next minute I'll be in a lobby where my ping is on 1 bar and then seems to remain at 1 bar for a good hour or so, sometimes longer,
    making the game unplayable.

    Does anyone have any tips/tricks/voodoo magic to get everything running smoothly again please? Everything I've googled/searched/tried doesn't seem to work.

    @Liquadia - Port mapping and filtering behavior are two different attributes. Don't confuse these two attributes with different techniques for NAT traversal.

    It still says I'm behind a cone nat but says my nat is open. I have not encountered any probs with forza multiplayer but battlefield is a differant story but I think that's more to do with battlefield, ea and dice than xbox live.

    Thanks for the information!

    Could you tell us if your Huawei HG612 is configured to be operating in bridge mode. The Hawei HG612 is also a router built-in to this device, which means that your outbound connection is being NAT'd twice.

    Ok, so its confirmed that you no longer have any address or address port restrictions, but a solid and Open NAT mapping behavior?
