Strict NAT Type (College Campus)

Good evening folks,

I am currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University and I have always had trouble with their internet. Party chat doesn't work, Dying Light refuses to allow online multiplayer, and many other problems have occurred. I asked the school about it and
this is their response, "Our network at SFA does not use NAT or any other IP address translation in order to function. We suggest you go through the steps outlined on this page. If that does not work we recommend you contact Microsoft."
All they told me to do is hard reset my Xbox One and router/modem. I do not have any way of changing any settings they have so I do not know why they would recommend this.

So I have tried everything and I know my way around a computer/console. Hard reset, testing multiplayer connection constantly (which says the Teredo error), trying to run the connection through my computer first to change the NAT type...I can go on.
The only option I see now is using a hotspot the school does not allow or changing something on your end for my console specifically microsoft.

Is there anything I can do or you can change? All suggestions are more than welcome seeing as I have been trying to cooperate with the school tech team for a year.

COD WW2 strict NAT in game, but open NAT in settings

I have been having trouble finding online matches on COD WW2. In game it says I have a strict NAT type, but in my network settings everything is fine and I have a open NAT type. I live in a dorm on a college campus, so I can't port forward or reset my router.
Any suggestions on how to fix this?

to anyone with a similar problem the issue for me was that on my college campus the NAT type was moderate which interfered with the download

 

Hello Krahzi, Have you tried updating the Xbox to the latest version? If not go to: Settings > System > Update Console. With this update they added more features for people with Moderate and Strict NAT Types to get online.

From reading your reply I think you are missing something. The update you mention may help with Live members who are playing from a residential network with Moderate or Strict NAT settings but it does not address Krahzi's issue of having to connect to Xbox
Live from a network that does not use NAT at all.

All of the devices on our campus network have public IP addresses - consoles, smart phones, internet TVs, you name it.

I am an Xbox Live customer and a fan of the Xbox and I don't want to be "that guy" but we get a LOT of calls and questions related to connectivity issues for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One and we get essentially none for the Playstation devices.

Any help or clarification with this is greatly appreciated.
