Ok so my xbox one has had an open nat for forever, until now. Now it is strict and it can't get a teredo ip. I have tried opening all the ports available, I have Teredo tunnels allowed on my router, yet it does't seem to matter. I also get the error "Your
network is behind a firewall (or not available)" when I run a multiplayer test. I even plugged my xbox directly into my modem and it still says there is a firewall and it still is strict and it still can't get a teredo iP. Oddly enough CoD: Ghosts tells me
my nat is open. Here is all the information, currently my xbox is hardwired to my router.

What Country/State/Province do you live in? USA/GA

    Modem brand & model number: **** TM722

Router brand & model number: 5th Generation Airport Extreme

    Wired or wireless: Wired

Things you have tried: Listed Aboce

Is UPnP Enabled? Yes/no/Unknown: Apple routers do not support this

Do you have a NAT error? If so, what is your NAT type?: Described above

Any Error Codes you encounter: No code listed

Who is your ISP?(Internet Service Provider): Comcast, I am getting my proper speeds in the test 60/15 but it still says strict

Thank you for any help you can provide!

    :)

  3. Strict NAT - ATT Uverse NVG589 Modem issues

Having the exact same problem with comcast except when I run a multiplayer test it says no teredo ip, I have done EVERYTHING in my power to fix it and it still is strict and it still says no teredo ip. I have even bypassed my router completely and plugged
it straight into the modem, STILL CAN'T GET A TEREDO IP. WHAT

Hey man, this is an easy one. Basically Teredo is a protocol which translates IPV4 ip address to IPV6, OR it translates IPV6 to IPV4.

Only thing is, in North America (And 98% of the world) We are using IPV4, with no need of translation at all. Just its a feature in your router which is enabled by default, and is not configured correctly.

Call your ISP, and ask them "Do you require IPV6 to connect to the internet?"

If they say "No" or have no idea what you're talking about, then they don't require it.

So Teredo is like having a German translator to translate what you're saying in English, to your Mom, in English..... Like..... No point for the translator right?

Well, if its NOT required, then you just want to have your ISP/Manufacturer COMPLETELY disable IPV6/Teredo in your router, as long as the router does not allow for IPV6 then at that point the Xbox will not attempt to use Teredo.

  5. Ok i understand what you are saying, I was just under the impression that ipv6 was superior and It has really baffled me why this has suddenly started happening. It worked in the past flawlessly and no option i check or uncheck in any setting in my router
seems to make a difference. Like I said, I plugged it directly into the modem from Comcast completely bypassing my router and it still gave me the same message. I guess I am just trying to find if I did something wrong and not my IPS because it wouldn't make
much sense that ipv6 would just randomly stop working. I do have to admit that a couple of days ago a lightning strike took out my internet and Comcast acknowledge that but I do not think that has anything to do with the current situation. I would be better
if the issue was something I could fix with just a click of a few buttons and I guess that is what I am trying to find. But if the problem is actually with my ISP I guess I am left with no other choice. If you come up with another idea or if anyone else does
please feel free to suggest it I am open to trying anything to fix this. Thank you.

  6. Update:

Ok so I just got off the phone with Comcasst, after 90+ minutes of talking to 7 different people my problem is still not solved. Just when I got redirected to someone who knew what they were talking about and actually looked up my problem and what they could
do to fix it, it turns out he did not have the proper access to what needed to be changed, so I just redirected. This lady had absolutely no clue what I was talking about, Most of the conversation was silence as she did something on the other side until for
the fifth time she asked "xbox?" I said "yes I have an xbox one that appears to be having an internet problem cased by Comcast or by my modem. The last pers.." she cuts me off " OK I will redirect you to xbox help" *jazz music intensifies* xbox center picks
up, tell them I have an xbox one problem, "Sorry we only deal with the 360 and I actually can't change any of the settings in your service". WAT- she then redirected me to the number I called in the first place to get redirected twice to the useful guy and
so on. WHY HAS MY GOD FORSAKEN ME.

  7. IPv6 might be superior one day, but it is not right now. Slower download speeds, higher pings, etc.... The thing is this. Right now IPv6 is a jumbled mess. It is not needed right now. If you can get everything to work on just IPv4 right now, then just stick
with that. In a couple of years I'm sure most ISPs will have the kinks worked out. If your modem has the option to turn it off... Try it and see what you get.

  8. Strict Nat and No Teredo iP and I have tried everything, help!

Wish I could! The options I can access from my computer aren't really options at all, more like a status update of whats going on. And comcast reps are more than clueless about whats going on. I don't get how I can speak to an "Internet Executive Support
Member" and they don't know the difference between a modem and a router. Like I said I have been through so many calls I am about to call quits. The fact the Cod: Ghosts is telling me that my nat is open and everything is fine while my xbox isn't makes me
wonder what is really going on. But in the end I haven't actually noticed a change in gameplay or matching making besides maybe one or two things so I am probably just going to let it play out for now. Again thanks for your guys help and if you have any other
    suggestions please let me know.

  9. Update:

So after months of unanswered questions, talking to reps, and hardly a response from the community (except a few, thank you Da Wife Said No and TheDyzaster), I have solved my problem and my NAT is open and everything is fine. The answer? Hard reset
    the consolse.
I put hardly 0 thought into the fact that the problem could lie in the console but lo and behold as a final effort and a last resort, it worked. So to everyone that is having a teredo ip and or NAT problem such as mine, just as a last
    resort complete reset your xbox.
