    Strict NAT after downloading Preview update.


    Okay, so, I have downloaded the new preview and now my NAT has gone from Open to Strict... Anyone else had this after downloading
    it? Anyone know of any extra ports that could have been put into use for cortana or something else in the update? I forward all my ports manually rather than using UPNP so it's kind of annoying not knowing.



    Any help would be appreciated!

    Make sure you have an open nat .....
    support.xbox.com/.../nat-type-strict

    I've also read that some have had issues after downloading dlc. which you may find help for in Nacho's link.

    K I am part of the update preview have tried everything is this post and still says nat type strict xbox live core servies issues

    Hey xRated Hades!

    Sorry you are having some issues with the NAT setting on your Xbox, I know how frustrating that can be! The preview update should not impact your NAT setting. Yes I am going to fire the basics at you, have you tried resetting your router and doing a restart
    of your Xbox?

    90% of the time this will fix a strict NAT setting especially after any updates and/or changes to the Console or your ISP.

    If that doesn't work and the settings are still strict, have you ran an advanced test on the Xbox to see what the results are? - If not, do this also as you may discover that you need to login to your router and check the assigned IP address and ensure it
    is not being blocked.

    If none of this helps in anyway please get back to us!

    Hey taidara, I'm in the preview program and it has the latest preview updates. I've tried a bunch of ways of getting to work but the main problem is that it is saying that the NAT Type is: "Strict"

    My MTU Is Now Stuck At 510
