Streets of Rage practically unplayable.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if this has been brought up already since I'm using my phone to post, so I apologise if it has already been.

I downloaded the vintage collection of Streets of Rage and trying to play is almost impossible, the main menu of the game works fine, however when I begin to play one of the 3 games it heavily slows down, the FPS and soundtrack drop in speed dramatically
making the game infuriating.

Is this a known issue?

Is there a fix? I love Streets of Rage and not being able to play it on my Xbox One is saddening.

Unable to play Streets of Rage 2

I purchased Streets of Rage 2 for Xbox Live Arcade back in 2007.

Now when trying to play the game online with a friend today, we were greeted with a nice message telling us to purchase the Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage in order to play online.

I'm curious as to why I am unable to play Streets of Rage 2 anymore without purchasing the Sega Vintage Collection: Streets of Rage?

Streets of Rage 2 is also not available for purchase on the Xbox Live Marketplace anymore.

 

Streets of Rage Vintage Collection Problem

It's not a disc... It's a digital download.. SEGA vintage collection Streets of Rage.. It's a digital download.. No error message it just boots up the wrong streets of rage game... Streets of Rage 2 was available as an X Box Live Arcade game in 2007... I
owned it... The vintage collection was released in 2012 I think and contained all 3 streets of rage games.... The vintage collection is backwards compatible... However, when I boot up the vintage collection, it just plays the old X Box live arcade version
of streets of rage 2... It does not play the vintage collection. Does that makes sense at all?

 

Has anyone else had this issue?

Are there any fixes?

Sorry to hear you're having trouble with the game! If you haven't tried already please try a full power cycle on your Xbox One by holding down the power button for 10 seconds (or until your Xbox One powers off). Once you turn it back on try opening just
the game.

If you're still having trouble with the game please head on over to our
Backward Compatibility troubleshooter and run through all the steps there. At the end of the troubleshooter please fill out the survey as well Thanks!

 

Thank you for the reply, however I have already tried this several times before I came to the forums seeking help.

Personally I'm assuming that it's a problem with the game emulation itself as I have tried this on two different Xbox One consoles and it is the only backwards compatible game that this occurs with.
