Streaming Xbox One X games to Xbox App on Surface not working

Ok, so I have a launch edition Xbox One and an Xbox One X. I can stream games from the Original Xbox One to the Xbox App on my Surface Pro 4 without issue.

However, the Xbox I primarily use is the Xbox One X. When I try streaming games to my Surface, the video is weirdly letterboxed and distorted. It's not being output in the proper aspect ratio/resolution. The audio comes through just fine, and I'm able to
control the screen, but the video makes it unplayable.

I cannot seem to find a way to adjust the resolution output by the Xbox One X when game streaming via the Xbox App on a PC. Is there a way to fix this issue?
