    Streaming Video from Windows 8.1 to Xbox One issue


    I was streaming a video with the appropriate file format from my Windows 8.1 laptop and the video looked great, but I kept encountering a very, VERY annoying issue. Every so often, for what felt like every 15 to 20 minutes, the video would stop playing
    on the Xbox one, but it would be playing on my laptop. I would have to run over to the laptop and click on the Play over Connected Device feature every time. How do I fix this?

    Issue Streaming video from Windows 8.1 to Xbox One

    I was streaming a video from my laptop to my Xbox and about every 15 to 20 minutes or so, the video would stop playing on the Xbox but would continue playing over the laptop. I would have to continuously click on the laptop to send the video back to the
    Xbox. How can I fix this so a whole video will stream over to the Xbox?

    I currently can't stream music from Windows 8.1 to xbox 360. I currently can stream video and photos from Win 8 computer to 360 no problem. Here is my problem with the music streaming:

    No System Video Player on Xbox One?

    Xbox One is DNA and PlayReady compliant so you should be able to use applications that support these protocols to stream from your PC. In addition, Windows 8.1 directly supports playing video to the Xbox One using the Devices Charm. (Charms bar > Devices
    > Play > Choose Xbox One). You must be in a video application on Windows 8.1 in order to work. This does not function with Desktop applications or previous versions of Windows. There are probably other applications out there that can enable this functionality
    for non-Windows 8.1 operating systems.

    How to watch videos on the Xbox One?

    I didn't try this but you might use the 'play to' function on your windows 7 media center or windows 8.1 system to stream the video to your Xbox. Currently you can only watch videos which came from dvd, bluray or Xbox video directly on the box

    Xbox Video on Windows 8 Phone or PC

    Xbox Video is not yet available on WP8 (but it was recently announced it will be very soon) and in order to watch from a PC you need Windows 8 or 8.1. Then you just go to the Xbox Video app and the purchase should be sitting there already, ready to be streamed
    or downloaded (whichever is applicable).

    I have installed Windows Media Feature Pack - still Xbox app is without streaming options.

    I have also reinstalled Xbox App, with Powershell commands.
