Streaming: Unable to connect via W10 or SmartGlass

Hey guys,

Not quite sure but since yesterday i'm unable to connect to the X1 anymore.

Nothing changed in my internal network settings.

Tried removing the X1 from the known list and re-add it but it wont find it. Even with the direct IP address.

At first i thought it was the laptop but it also doesn't work anymore with SmartGlass (Android)

All settings in the menu of the X1 are the same as before. (open to accept all connections within the same network)

Tried wiresless aswell as wired. Any of you guys have this issue?

Connect Controller to xbox through PC

When streaming your Xbox One to your W10 PC you can just connect your controller to your PC and play like this. W10 should have the controller drivers ready to go already, just connect your controller via a USB cable or via Bluetooth (Bluetooth is only available
if you have the new controller which comes with the Xbox One S)

 

Xbox app in W10 in-home streaming question

Is streaming from W10 Xbox app to W10 Xbox app going to be supported in the future?

 

On your Xbox, make sure your settings haven't changed to "Don't allow Smart Glass connections"

Should be "Allow All" or "Allow only signed in profiles".

If it is one of the above, try switching it to another and then back again. The Windows 10 update to consoles seemed to have caused some settings to be misread until changed.

 

Thanks for the tip Bazajaytee! The issue has been resolved.

Received another update for X1 (10.0.10586.1016) but it was still not working.

Did the above as you mentioned and also switched from "Instant-On" mode to "Energy-Saving".

Full reboot and it worked instantly
