    Streaming to Xbox console companion


    I have been using my laptop to stream to my console for months, with little issue besides minor lag here and there. Until, around a week ago, when I started experiencing major lag in both party chat and game streaming specifically on the console companion.
    I have no issues using other applications such as discord to chat, no issues at all. Games I play also have no connection issues whatsoever. But for the past week I have had consistent lag spikes every five seconds that cause party chat to cease and game quality
    to drop and pause. When I am on the xbox itself and not playing via the companion app, I experience none of these issues. I haven't had anything like this happen in the past, my connection is great, albeit not wired, and I only experience this lag on the companion
    app. Any way I can fix this?

    You need to stream your console to your laptop (Has to have Windows 10) with The Xbox Console Companion app. Start the Xbox One, then start the Console companion app, then select the connect icon on the left side of the app, and your console should show,
    just select it, and select stream, that will then stream your console to your laptop.

    First off, Smartglass is no longer supported. You have the Xbox Console Companion, and the Xbox app on PC. To stream to your PC, you will first need to turn on game streaming in Devices & connections Remote features in the Settings. Once you have done
    that, start the Xbox console companion, then make sure you are on the same network as the Xbox, sign in with the same Xbox account that is on the console, and select the connection icon on the left of the app, and then select the console that is connected,
    and select stream. You should now be streaming your console to your PC.
