Streaming to beam or twitch camera video not showing during gameplay

Hi all,

I recently picked up a kinect. The video while streaming does not show on my screen. All i see is the icons.

I see that it is recording the video only during playback of the recorded session. Any ideas?

Allow the Xbox One to stream to YouTube Gaming

As of late, YouTube has release its own streaming service called YouTube Gaming where gamers can stream PC, PS4 straight to YouTube from their consoles/PC's. The quality of streaming to YouTube is significantly better than Twitch or the upcoming "Beam".
I think this would be a beneficial app to have to allow multiple streaming apps, YouTube, Twitch and Beam.

Does anyone wish to discuss this idea? If so please drop a comment!

To clarify, are you seeing the camera when you view the stream from the watcher perspective during a stream? Or is it only during playback of a recorded stream where you see it?

Can you share some details of what your settings are like currently? For example what corner the camera is positioned in.

You can't connect the Xbox 360 to the Xbox App. Only the Xbox One can stream to the Xbox App.

Long explanation:

The Xbox One has specifically resources reserved to record or stream the console's video output, so you can stream to Beam or Twitch, or record your Gameplay.

The Xbox 360 does not have these resources. And since compressing and streaming video requires a lot of CPU power, and the Xbox 360 is uses nearly 98% CPU resources for rendering games (the rest is used for Guide, Parties and background music), the Xbox
360 also can't get an update to allow game streaming.

In short: It's not possible to connect the Xbox App to the 360.

Beam is not an app that you can uninstall, it is built into the Xbox One to allow the best possible streaming experience. Beam should be streaming voice and audio, we're happy to provide support to help this get cleared up for you.

Keep in mind, you still have the option to stream to Twitch if you choose to

The only workaround for this is to buy a capture card and stream the gameplay to a pc, then stream that gameplay to twitch.

Hi,

The reason for that is Mixer will be no more as of July 22nd. They will be moving that platform and merging with Facebook gaming. Xbox used Mixer formerly beam as the main streaming app, before that it was Twitch. Most will be going back or to Twitch for
streaming including the ambassadors. You can download the Twitch app on your console. To stream you have to open the app first and mess with your pre stream settings then hit broadcast and return to the game of choice.
