Streaming Starts But Is Transparent

When starting streaming from the Xbox app for Windows 10, streaming appears to start with the "Connecting on [Console Name]" screen displayed followed by the control toolbar being shown at the top of the screen. However, the network usage for the stream
appears to be zero and the Xbox app is still visible in the background, greyed out. Any thoughts on how to restore streaming functionality?

Is there a way to make the background on the face cam transparent when streaming from the xboxone?

February update out

It is a solid update. I thought the transparent tiles were going to be a little more transparent. But overall, it is a solid update to start the year off.

 

This happens on both a Microsoft Surface 3 as well as desktop PC, so it appears to be related to the Xbox rather than the Xbox app. I cannot be certain however.

 

Can you hear any audio at all?

Try running it windowed mode, some like me have had success that way.

 

Gave up on attempting to determine the difficulty and simply reset to factory settings. Problem resolved successfully... ish.
