Streaming on Console without Capture card

I wanted to bring up something that I feel atleast 40-60% of gamers are involved with nowadays which is Streaming; but how its tools aren't being updated as time progresses.

I started streaming on console in March 2021. I primarily stream so I can record/store the footage for later clips or edits but also to engage with other likeminded gamers whom is looking to play a certain playlist or game. Pretty much I use streaming as a method for substituting making a post on LFG (Looking for groups) channel.

From March to about August, most of the streaming ability was fine as far as stability/ connectivity.

But after August, issues started to occur:

• When playing FPS games (ex: Halo: MCC, Halo Infinite, R6 Siege); if you go idle after 5mins or not engage in a active online match then your xbox online status will change and make you appear offline to everyone and changing it manual back to appearing online wont do anything unless you engage in a match, or close app which makes you appear home and online but even after loading a app again an not pressing anything for awhile then youre status will automatically flip to offline without warning to you the player. Thus making it difficult to organize a party/ game when youre broadcasting via Twitch app.
  
• Upon starting a new stream, it takes 3-6 tries of starting an ending before you get a stable connection between the Xbox and the stream without it having drastic loading issues for viewers. This will happen on these bitrates chosen ( 720p @ 3500-4500 or 1080p @ 4500-6500+)
  
• Also the ability to include other voices in my Party chat is faulty; wether if I create the party chat first or if I joined in on another party chat, the option and or feature of having others voice included is just not working.
  
• If you're idle from controller/ game for more than 4hours then the stream is subject to have a red network error an wont show the video but will keep the stream timer going. Would be nice to have a way to pause the stream like how the new returning twitch guide menu has. ( Sometimes I do 48hour streams and have to take a nap but when I comeback, my stream is not showing video.)
  
• When switching to a new game while you're broadcasting, it could randomly end your stream upon loading the new game.
  
• Also when loading a new game you may get a warning saying "This game isn't streaming " but if you switch back an forth between the game and Twitch app then it will fix or accurately change the category to the new game chosen to stream and will show the video.
  

Extra stuff to know/include :

1. This is happening on a cleaned an well maintained 2018 Xbox One S with the games and Twitch app installed on SSD and same issues also occur on my nephews Series S. Which tells me its a issue with the coding of communicating between the app/xbox.
   
2. This console is hardwired on Fiber optic 1gbps/ 350down/350 upload.
   
3. I have done several diff trouble shooting methods to try to resolve the issue on my own before coming to this final review( Ive cleared app and system caches, removed/re-added account, uninstalled/reinstalled/moved twitch app data, tried appearing as DND an would still show me offline, I checked and uninstalled all apps connected to account that may mess with the Live status.
   
4. The Xbox is in a open an cooled area
   
5. Video settings of xbox was tested with both 1080p an 720p cross tested when also chosen diff resolutions picked to have the stream at. ( ex. 720p console an 720p on app at 3500-4500bitrate or 1080p console 720 on app an same bitrate or others.) If the bitrate is any lower then 3500 the stream will always be unstable. Basically ive tested all possibly combinations ranging from max to min to balance to variable balance and still can never start a stream stable without hiccups.
   
6. I have sent about a dozen reports since October and have left feedback in various routes possible aswell as reviews and even calling in to Cx.
   

Regards to Twitch guide update: Recently I saw Xbox has readded the Twitch streaming features to the Main Xbox guide, which is a good step or recognition but I also just recently used it and made 7-8 attempts on various resolutions/ bitrates chosen and even waited and gave each their time before testing all of them and the screen for viewers would show a loading circle every 2 seconds or less. I have my laptop here and see the stream health bar on stream manager of the twitch website and no matter if the stream is showing Excellent or unstable; the stream kept showing a loading circle every other second.

I do like how I can pause and start the stream again without stopping but I feel there needs more work done on optimizing the throughput of video/audio when broadcasting through the Twitch app.

In the future it would be awesome to have ability to hardwire a usb from xbox to pc to broadcast. I notice the Xbox companion app has the ability to mirror the screen of gameplay to broadcast but that also needs a bit more optimizing and I feel like a hardwire method may help resolve the issue but just an idea.

I hope Xbox/ Microsoft can act on the increasingly positive potential of making streaming inexpensively available for all gamers which in return will give more spotlight to their products and services. Increasing word of mouth an presentation for using Xbox Network as a pillar of inclusive gaming for anyone looking to share their experiences. The ability of such should be updated for Content creators, affiliates of various kinds, community organizers, speedrunners, modders/forger, lore analyzers, guides, or people simply trying to record gameplay for self memories. This may not be a big deal for alot of people but Quality of Life improvements in regards to apps/services can boast the life in a variety of sectors in the Xbox ecosystem resulting in more gamers helping to take on the work that Xbox/Microsoft doesnt have the time to be actively aware on. The Gamers want to help ! an im not just talking about Insider activities/previews.
