Streaming Movies?

Streaming apps can disable streaming due to licensing restrictions (otherwise you could buy a movie, and let millions of people see the movie for free, whereas in game streaming, people watch your work as you play, not the copyrighted work of a film maker
which you can't make your own).

If you circumvent that and stream copyrighted movies, you are breaking copyright laws in most countries, and you might face legal charges, if the movie studio finds out you streamed their movie.

If it's a non-copyrighted movie, or a movie you made yourself and hold the rights to, you can still try to stream the movie by using capture hardware and your PC.

Simply connect your console to your PC's capture hardware, and stream through that.

Directly with the console itself it's not possible.

And putting movies on my 360 makes me nervous, I dont want any Viruses to creep there way in there..

But I do have a 64 gig flash maybe i will try that with Conan the Barbarian & Apollo 18 tonight.

yeah thanks! I love technology! I jus bought a new TV last month an it dosnt even have standard av inputs like my slightly older one did jus the HD ones soo I couldnt hook up my DVD to it unless I go out an buy some blue & green cords < HD <

an then when i was finally watching rise of the planet of the apes it kept cutting out on me on the most crucial moments lol

well besides the windows media center theres only one other way to stream movies from my PC to my xbox, an I think its called the
windows media sharing via windows media player, for some reason it shuts off about halfway through a movie and I will have to rebot my router to get my conection back not only for the xbox but my whole network. I have it running through the
windows media center now an I will see if it can play a whole movie without this problem, the only reason why i dont like the media center is that it has no options to fast forward or resume play its just stop an go from the start.

Copy your movie to a USB drive.

Try to make sure it is in a format the xbox will support like .avi

Play it off the usb drive.

I know this is not the answer you wanted but i have tried and tried to get media center to work correctly with the xbox and it will (in my experience) only work properly on a wired connection and if the host PC has its firewall settings altered and does
not enter sleep mode.

The router becoming bricked may be some form of flood attack on behalf of the PC or maybe a numbers of connections issue.

I would just invest in a 16Gb usb drive and put movies on there.
