    Streaming live TV to windows 10 PC - Has this been disabled?


    I've always been able to connect to the xbox one and then turn on the Oneguide app so I could watch live TV on my PC screen in the window. Just tried it tonight on both Xbox ones and they're giving me a "this app is only for your console" message and I
    get audio but no video.

    Did MSFT just disable this feature? I'm going to be a bit aggravated if this got nerfed. Especially if it's some bogus rights or $$ grab.

    What are you looking forward to doing on Xbox 1, this 2015 year?

    Streaming my xbox to my PC in windows 10 when the wife is watching TV this feature will be used a lot in my house!

    I assume you are using the Xbox TV tuner, not HDMI-IN.

    It could be a bug as you are supposed to stream TV I believe when you use the Xbox tuner.

    Actually i'm using a cablebox passthrough on HDMI and the one guide app. If I try to stream the xbox with live tv playing it goes black. This just started a couple of days ago. Previously it behaved like any other app and would mirror the video and audio
    to my windows 10 machine.

    That is odd, I don't think it was every supposed to mirror the HDMI-IN, it certainly never has for me.

    Mine quit working in the last couple days as well.

    I've never had a problem before streaming live tv from my Cable Box plugged into the HDMI port to my computer in my home office, But now I can't. I'm really annoyed at this, since I specifically didn't bother getting an extra Cable box for my home office
    because I knew I'd been able to stream since I started using windows 10. I really hope there is some way to reenable this.

    This is very odd as I've never been able to so this, I thought due to the copy protection they were not allowed to do this.

    I know if you use the in-built tuner it works.

    I hope they do add it back then.
