  1. Streaming issues

For the last few days I have been having issues streaming to my Xbox One.

I noticed that the Films and TV app was updated the other day, twice now in fact, and since the updates, when I'm streaming video, the screen is going dark after about ten minutes in much the same way that it does after a period of inactivity. It's really
annoying as I keep having to nudge the joystick every so often.

The Xbox is meant to be a media centre as well as a games console, but it is doing my head in right now. Updates aka broken apps, is not on, it's ruining my experience.

My Xbox is enrolled in the preview program and is up to date.

I use my Xperia Z4 Tablet to stream content via Allcast to my Xbox.

It worked perfectly fine previously, prior to the last two updates.

Incidentally, I have also noticed that the video title now also fails to fade away like the on screen controls. I have to move the left joystick down to bring up the controls, then press the red back button. Only then will it disappear, otherwise it would
    stay on the whole time.

All in all, not a great update.

Come on Microsoft, stop breaking things and read the feedback you get sent via the Insider Hub! I'm tired of sending feedback and being ignored. What's the point? Fix you app, for Pete's sake.

    :)

    Issues streaming

Settings>Network settings>Advanced>Alternate MAC>Clear then it will want to restart.

Try these steps to see if it helps you out.

Hey, so I've been streaming with my xbox for years now and have always had this issue. It's always been frustrating and I guess after years of frustration accumulation finally I have taken to forums. So what happens is videos do not show up when they are
clearly in the folder and the proper format. Usual workaround for this is to just pop the file onto a usb stick and watch it that way(first world problem). It's so much smoother when it just works properly. I've noticed many many times that when I first
goto watch something it's not there so I forget it about it and a few days later magically it shows up.

Now I've tried resetting console/computer, I've had the issue with wired/wireless connections, windows xp/7, and yes they are proper formats. Because it will always work if I use the stick. No matter what I do there are some that just do not show up no
    matter what

    Hey there Viridian Storm.

Sorry to hear about the streaming trouble! Because you're part of the Xbox One Update Preview, you'll want to head over to the

    preview forums
and let them know of the trouble you're having, they'll be able to best help out while taking part in the preview.

Same with me. My app connects to the xbox and the xbox acknowledges that i am connect but all i get is a grey transparent screen. I will try that Xbox App Beta and let you guys know. Also, i had to assign a static IP to my xbox and open several ports in
order to make sure that the NAT is open. Sometimes i have been told that if the nat is Strict it will not work properly.

Are either of you two on the xbox preview program? I am and ever since I got my new xbox one s console and switched it to preview program I've been unable to stream. I try manually putting in the IP address like it asks and still nothing. :( I really liked
this feature even though it looked blurry as **** sometimes.

Hey thrawns spawn! Thank you for your willingness to contribute here! In the future, please remember to check the time stamp of the original post and don't bump threads that are months old. It is likely that these issues are older, already resolved, and

great suggestion! I was really excited to try this, even though its only 4$ I'm not a fan of buying software without a trial :( to at least see how its going to work before I purchase.

Try Tversity. I use that program and find it to be one of the better ones out there for streaming videos/pics/music.
