    Streaming games from console is amazing when it works properly


    Ok so boom I got a series x at the crib; I love gaming and don't quite have the time to as much as I'd like. So, the new remote play feature where we can play from phones or in my case from my surface tablet is amazing granted my tablet isn't the latest and my headset (steal series artris 3/w Bluetooth) has taken a lil beating over the past few months. Besides the occasional throttle lag the voice chat whether in a party or game chat is weird I have to mute my mic due to feedback issues or at times just not picking up all of what I'm trying to communicate. Oh and just a heads up don't just close the app like I did when I was about to get caught playing on the clock because you'll be stuck trying to reconnect which more than likely will mean you'll need someone at home to turn the system off so that you can reconnect.

    When was there a Battlefield 1? This is the best FPS on the X1 at the moment. When it works properly this game is amazing.

    I'm wondering if you remote play your xbox while it's off (on instant on mode) will it damage the xbox?

    the xbox is actually on when streaming, impossible to be off when streaming as it does all the work, are you sure your not streaming a game from xcloud instead as that does not use your console.

    ive had the same problem with other games and it is to do with game streaming. what u have to do is start up the game through your tv first and u will find the controls work normally when the game has loaded and then if u start streaming it will work properly.
    i have found if u start the game while u are streaming the controls dont work.

    Xbox One X, streaming to Win10 PC issue

    Again, as I said in my original post: the streaming works fine under initial circumstances. So it cannot be a bandwidth or routing issue. The issue is only when you disconnect from the stream and reconnect, using the Xbox app.

    I'm going to assume it's a bug in the Xbox app which doesn't seem able to reconnect to existing streams properly.
