    The new october update is great but I have Ifound a few problems connecting to a nas drive.

    all the movies are in the photo folder and all pictures in the movie folder.

    if you watch a MP4 from a usb stick it runs fine, but if you watch a MP4 from the nas drive it will not work unless the .mp4 is changed to .Avi

    any idea's how to fix this ?

    MS Say that more people use Xbox and LIVE to watch Media then Play games

    About 50-50 for me. If im not gaming, its normally Netflix or streaming something from my NAS drive.

    Access my iMac photos / iTunes music on Xbox one?

    I wish they'd just include DLNA streaming on Xbox one - then you could stream from iTunes, a NAS media server, or whatever.

    The Xbox One doesn't have a build-in System Video Player for browsing the content on a Nas drive. However, you can use the PlayTo functionality on a Windows 8 computer to play the music and video file from NAS to Xbox One. I followed the how

    Never used it. As long as XO still allows me to stream films from my NAS drive I'm happy.

    Hi SpikeyHairFool,

    If you have your NAS on a PC you can enable Steam to in Xbox Video, and then enable Media Sharing on your PC. This will allow you to stream using DLNA. I do not know of a way other than Plex to stream directly from the NAS to the Xbox. But on that note Plex
    is amazing if you haven't tried it :).
