Streaming Borderlands on Xbox One via Twitch

Discus and support Streaming Borderlands on Xbox One via Twitch in XBoX Games and Apps to solve the problem; I can't broadcast Borderlands on twitch on my xbox one via backwards compatability.     Streaming Borderlands on Xbox One via Twitch


    I can't broadcast Borderlands on twitch on my xbox one via backwards compatability. Is anyone else having the same problem?

    Streaming Borderlands on Xbox One via Twitch

    Hey there uncleriss,

    GameDVR and Broadcasting are turned off for this backwards compatible title. You will not be able to stream it via Twitch.

    The permissions for this game, among others, were not given to allow gamers to stream it via Twitch and therefore, the capabilities are turned off.

    Streaming Borderlands on Xbox One via Twitch

    To clarify a bit further, I think it relates specifically to music in the game they no longer have the license for, so you aren't able to stream it due to usage rights/etc.

    Why would it be related to music? If that was the case then Twitch wouldn't allow the game to be streamed from PC etc.

    Because it doesn't matter if the content is identical on the PC vs Xbox version of the game, there were 2 different licenses issued for the different platforms.

    I just discovered the same problem, yet people can stream it on the pc still? This is bogus!

    Hey all,

    As SPS and Otaku Panda cx mentioned, Game DVR and Broadcasting is turned off for Borderlands. Not all games will allow these features and for more information you'll want to reach out to the publisher. Since these are the correct and verified answers I'm
    going to go ahead and lock this thread.
