Streaming apps fails on Xbox One X

Hi.

I got two Xbox One (and a 360). On the X he streaming apps has stopped working (Netflix, Viaplay, MS Movies&TV). They still work on the S and the 360. Gaming works though. Any ideas?

First of all: sorry for taking this long to answer. Caught the flu and have been in bed for several days (even too sick to game, and then you know it's bad 😉 )

On the upside I have had time to troubleshoot. 😊

A had already tried to power cycle since that's everyones numero uno troubleshooting step, but that didn't help which was why I posted here.

Ended up resetting the box with the option to keep apps and games, and that solved the issue.

this small problems are often solved after a power cycle.

Hi there!

This may sound silly, but the first thing I would recommend is a full power cycle of the console. Nine times out of ten this usually takes care of issues with an app crashing!

Is there any error message on your X?

Try power cycling the console by holding down it's power button for 10 seconds.

Retry afterwards.

This is 100% a fail by MS. The xbox companion app got a new update and since this update the streaming feature is gone / broken so MS have to fix IMMEDIATELY because there is no other way to play on PC with your Xbox One X if it is not a Gamepass / cloud game. (and of course there are a lot of threads here about this issue!)
