Streaming apps and Notification pop-up are still broken. What is Going On?

This is unbelievable. It almost been ONE YEAR since the Xbox One system that I bought notification pop-up system completely stopped working. For a year, I didn't know I got party invites, messages and achievement because the pop-up system stopped working.
Now to makes this even worst, none of the video streaming apps working either. For ONE FRICKEN MONTH, anytime I try to use the Netfix, crunchroll, or Youtube app it just crashes. I have tried all possible "solution" to fix these two issue from removing my
profile and doing a hard rest to a factory rest and it didn't even fix these issue. Now I want answer, evidence to that these broken services are being look into because I find it *** baffling that purchased and paying for a BROKEN SERVICE.

not receiving party/game invites and notifications from anyone.

i just did the soft reset keeping my games and apps, and the notifications are still not showing up. i can confirm that my pop-up notifications are enabled as i checked the settings, all of them are set to on.

 

Notifications and system messages are missing letters

When a friend logs in and notification pops up its missing letters from their name. Also message boxes that pop up are missing letters in every word. Started yesterday. What is going on?

 

Hey Prune. Sorry you're having so many issues. I've had an Xbox One since day one and now I'm on a Xbox One S. I've never had issues with notifications not working or streaming apps not working. I use YouTube and Netflix and Twitch daily with no hiccups.
Have you checked your settings? Maybe you have parental controls on and it's blocking apps. The only other option I can think to try is to call support and talk to them. I'm sorry that's not much help. I hope it works out for you.

 

I have already checked all the setting and I can assure you that the parental controls is not turn and all the notifications setting are all on too. I have tried customer support multiple time and they told was to try all the possible "solution" but with
the wi-fi turned off. The end result is that it didn't even fix the issue and customer support couldn't of anything else to help.

 

Hey Prune Face46! From the issues you're having and the fact that a factory reset didn't work it sounds like your console may have a failing hard drive.However, you can try an

offline reset and see if it helps out. Let me know if it works!

 

I tried the factors offline reset and very thing was looking. When I tried to use the Netflix app, I immediately crashed. I tried my other video streaming apps and they crashed as welling. I also tried using the notification system, but there were still
no pop ups. Now what am I supposed to to do now that the offline reset failed?

What hell is going on!?! I sent in the Xbox One for repairs on issues that I have been dealing with and got back a few days ago. I can say that only HALF of the problems have been fixed. I the "finished downloading" pop up work, but the messages, party invites,
and achievements STILL WON'T POP UP. Netflix and YouTube aren't crashing, but crunchyroll still crashes whenever I open it. This truly unacceptable. I payed money to have this fix and you guys over there only fixed half of the problems. Why the hell was I
ripped off!?!

Sorry to hear that not all of the issues were resolved with the console repair. Are you also using an external hard drive by chance? If so, are the apps installed to it currently? What steps have you tried since receiving the console back from service?

Also, since app crashing can sometimes be network related, how are you connected to the internet?

• Run a Detailed Network Statistics test on the Xbox One console and provide the following information.
  

• Download Speed
• Upload Speed
• Latency
• Packet Loss %
• Wireless Strength (if applicable)

• Your Internet Modem Manufacturer
• Router Manufacturer (if being used)

The only hard drive I have used is the one on the Xbox One. Also here the internet network statistics:

Download Speed: 16.36Mbps

Upload Speed: 1.04Mbps

Packet Loss: 0%

MTU: 1480

Latency: 105 ms

 

I think the cause to all of this may not be the hardware or wireless connection. I think it has to be a software issue because anytime I try one of the many fixes, it only work for one hour. Also, anytime the Xbox One get a title update, everything works
for about one week before breaking. This all started when I downloaded the NXOE title update at the end of 2015 and I have been trying to fix it since.

Could you also please provide your Modem Manufacture and Router Manufacture as well? Sometimes they have settings that can cause problems so we just want to make sure we rule that out.

The Modem Manufacture is Cisco and the Router Manufacture is Intellinet.

 

Thanks so much, let's have you try to connect your console directly to the Cisco Modem via an Ethernet cable and then check to see if the notifications are working properly.
