Stream video from android to Xbox one

I have an android Lenovo yoga tab 3 tablet and an XboxOne S consoleconsole both purchased last month. I would preferably like to screencast my tablet onto my Xbox One console

Can someone advise what app I need to install and on which device to get this working. If I can't screen cast can I at leat stream video from my tablet to the console ?

For video streaming I have attempted to do this by installing an app called iMediaShare on my tablet and when I try to play a video it does detect the console when I select it attempts to connect to but can't just says an error has occurred and at the same
time on the console I get a pop up asking if I want to install the app 'Films & TV'. Every time I try to connect this happens so seems console is aware a connection attempt is being made and I assume this triggers the pop up. Do I need this app installed on
the console ?

xbox one can't access files on a network ???

Found a way to stream media to xbox one without running to my PC to start and stop the video. Download the app ArkMC available for android and apple. It acts as a DLNA controller. You can select videos from a DLNA device on the network and initiate the
stream to xbox one. I've used it to play from my PC and from my network attached DLNA server. I mainly use Tversity on the PC with ffmpeg codec, it will stream virtually any format to the xbox with on the fly transcoding.

Streaming Video from Android to Xbox One

I used to be able to stream movies that I had downloaded on my android phone (pretty much any format) to my Xbox One via all share on my phone as long as I had them on the same network. What the hell happened? My phones (yes, plural) that all used to
easily find my Xbox no longer do when searching for devices. Help me fix this as it is something that I use regularly.

Did you try to install "Movies & TV" and also "Media Player"? This should get your issues resolved.

Although Plex pass is required right now, Plex is also a nice option for playing your music (and video, and phots) on the Xbox one, as well as streaming to multiple other devices (android phone, roku etc)

Maybe I was misunderstood.

I mean, I want to launch game on Xbox in my local network and cast it to TV Box. Like it work with Steam Link, and Remote play on Sony.

Also, there are 2 apps for android:

Xbox Game Streaming (Preview) (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xcloud)

Xbox beta (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.xboxone.smartglass.beta)

They allow to stream game from console to android tablet or phone, but they are not compatible with Android TV, that is little confusing. Maybe there is any way to make it work?

Btw, Wifi - 5Ghz, signal quality is ok

I also tested steam link on my android box - it works fine. So, I think this box has enough computing power to accept video stream and show it on TV

Streaming on the console companion on PC is not supported on the Xbox series consoles. Only Xbox One.

The only platform that you can currently stream from is iOS and Android, using the Xbox app.
