Stream to Twitch with no capture card using OBS and the Xbox App on Windows 10

    Hey all!

If you're here you either have interest in streaming your Xbox One gaming or have started and are finding trouble or looking to enhance your stream! I have made two videos showcasing how simple it is to stream to OBS/Twitch using a router, your Xbox One, and
your Windows 10 PC. I have made these two videos to not only show you what you should be doing through your computer, but also how your PC, Xbox, and peripherals should be set up.

If you have any questions feel free to ask here so that other users can easily access the answers and if these videos helped you please show me by liking my video and posts so I can tailor my future posts to you.

    Thank you!

    :)

Win10 Xbox App - Minimises when clicking on another screen

    Hey there,

So recently I started streaming on Twitch, as I have no capture card I stream my XBOX feed to the Win10 application then use Display capture on that in OBS for streaming. My problem is that everytime I want to interact with another application (OBS, Streamlabs
etc,) my Xbox App window is minimised, is there anyway to stop this from happening??

    Thanks

    How Do You Stream?

Yes, I do stream with my Husband. We co- stream. We are xbox players but use OBS and capture card (elgato HD 60) We have been streaming on twitch for 2 years now. I like using the capture card and OBS because I feel I can grant followers & subs the opportunity
to have recognition on the screen and they seem to love it. Plus you get to add a little more of you into your overlay & logo.

    Xbox Capture

As others have stated, there is no way to record your audio while using the 'record from now' function.

I stream to mixer and that captures my mics audio, and it's really easy to do too.

The only other alternatives to a capture card is to stream directly from your console to Mixer or Twitch, or use the Xbox App on Windows 10 to stream your console's audio and video to the windows 10 device, then you can use some other software to record,
or stream. ( I hope that made sense).

How to correctly set up capture card for xbox one x and twitch use??

Hello, Amber my name is oskayra I am an independent advisor and player like you I hope I can help solve your problem today

Adding a capture card to your Twitch setup can definitely elevate your stream quality, especially when it comes to including your fellow players' game chat audio. Here's a guide to help you set it up correctly:

    Equipment:

    Xbox One X
Capture Card (e.g., Elgato HD60S+, AverMedia Live Gamer Portable 2 Plus)
    HDMI cables (at least 3)
    Laptop
    OBS Studio
    Headphones/headset with microphone (optional)
    Connections:

Connect your Xbox One X's HDMI OUT port to the HDMI IN port of your capture card.
Connect the HDMI OUT port of your capture card to your TV's HDMI IN port.
Connect the USB port of your capture card to your laptop using a USB cable.
If you're using headphones/headset, connect them to your laptop's audio jack.

    Software:

    Launch OBS Studio.
Click on the "+" button in the Sources section and select "Video Capture Device."
In the properties window, select your capture card as the device and give it a name like "Xbox One X."
Click on the "+" button again and select "Audio Input Capture."
Select your capture card as the device and name it "Xbox One Game Chat."
Click on the "+" button one last time and select "Audio Input Capture."
Select your microphone or headset as the device and name it "Microphone."
Adjust the audio levels of each source using the sliders in the mixer section.
Set up your streaming settings in the Settings menu, including the streaming platform (Twitch), bitrate, and resolution.
Click the "Start Streaming" button to start broadcasting your gameplay with your fellow players' voice chat.
    Additional Tips:

Make sure your capture card is compatible with your laptop's operating system.
Update your capture card's firmware to the latest version.
Use high-quality HDMI cables to avoid signal loss.
Configure your Xbox One X audio settings to output all audio through the HDMI port.
Use Push-to-Talk or Voice Activation in your streaming software to avoid background noise from your microphone.
Experiment with different OBS settings to find the best balance between quality and performance.

    Troubleshooting:

If you're not seeing any video or audio, double-check your connections and make sure your capture card is selected as the video and audio input devices in OBS Studio.
If your audio is choppy or distorted, try lowering your bitrate or resolution in the OBS settings.
If you're having problems connecting to Twitch, check the Twitch service status page for any known outages.

I hope the information I gave you has been useful, have a happy day.
