Stream & Post to Youtube

*ISO HELP RE: STREAMING*

Hello I am looking for someone to help my 9 yr old son to learn how to stream, narrate and post gaming videos to YouTube using his Xbox One. He is trying so hard to start a YouTube channel streaming gaming videos and doesn't
know how to stream narrate and post his videos, so if there is anyone who
has experience doing this & would be so kind to help him, i would really appreciate all the help you could give to him.

Streaming your video game feed + youtube

First off I would like to say that I'm well aware that you can stream games to Twitch tv, but what about youtube? If you can't live stream games then could you at least post your footage on youtube? If you can would you be able to collect the ad revenue
when you partner with youtube or would it be like nintendo where they would start taking down or not allowing channels to collect ad revenue or post the footage of your game?

 

livestreaming no sound?

Yep I know about the delay. I was looking around on Google found a poster claiming you have to have a YouTube partnership to stream with sound. Can anyone confirm that? Doesn't seem like that make much sense since only a hand full of ppl have partnerships
with YouTube. That would make live stream useless for pretty much everyone.

I don't think YouTube allows a new channel to stream live so your son would have to go through the process of uploading previously recorded and saved videos.

There are different ways this can be done depending on what is available and vary in cost from cheapest to more expensive:

• stream to Mixer using console native broadcast feature. Setup your Mixer channel to save your streams as a VOD. Download the VOD to your PC or OneDrive and then upload to YouTube.
• connect an external USB 3.0 NTFS formatted HDD to console and set it as the location for your saved DVR clips. Record a video clip up to 60 minutes long. Connect HDD to PC and upload video to YouTube.
• Invest in a PC with an internal or external capture card. Use that to capture gameplay from the console (natively if supported or via Mixer VOD as suggested first) and then upload that content to YouTube.

The first option may not be able to give you the same level of quality as the second two but it is the cheapest way to begin. Quality will depend on your ISP speed and quality of VOD file.

The second and third options costs more and is dependent on the size of HDD, PC or laptop purchased. Additionally one could invest in a video editing application to edit the video before uploading to YouTube. If you are only interested in basiv video editing
then the latter can be skipped for now and use YouTube editor for simple edits.

If your son wants to record commentary type videos then I recommend he learn how to write a script of what he wants to say. Having that available as you record the video may help prevent having to do multiple takes because of mistakes made in saying something
wrong when adlibbing off the top of your head.
