Strangers email address on my xbox account

I'm using a family members account to ask/answer

I'm sorry but my email address is not recognised bec someone else had put theirs on and changed security details.

Are you able to log into your account with the email address you set up the account with initially?

If not, you'll want to follow the steps here, and even go through the Account Recovery Form toward the bottom of the page to recover your account.

Family just downloaded xbox app, found my profile (squall alley) and reported as hacked (if you have the opportunity please report).

Realised they've only had access for a week but they've not played any of my games.

My xbox live account runs out within the next two weeks, my wallet usually only has a few pence and I never use bank card to pay for anything. So they're not going to get very far.

You never know may be monday someone may be working from home.

Thanks for the replies. Here is a guide for requesting a call from support. As the primary email has been changed support will be the only ones to assist now.

When you go to Contact Us,follow these steps to request a call from support:

• Step 1 ----click on Contact us
  
• Step 2 ----under what you having trouble with select Subscriptions & billing
  
• Step 3-----under what is the issue I can't redeem a code then hit next
  
  Step 4 ----scroll down to select request a call
  

Once they call explain the issue and they will be able to help you. Note that these options regularly change so just keep selecting something that gives request a call from support as a contact option.
