strange message from unknown person has me worried

i recently recieved a message from an unknown person with no mutual freinds and i have never played a game with them. they asked me to add them and mentioned gettting a free xbox one from some site called [Mod removed] (dont remember witch one). i sent a
message asking who they were and got no reply. am i at risk?

So you watch TV via PiP whilst playing a game, seems strange to me, and that's coming from a strange person like me...

 

Getting threatened online

My partner has been getting threatened online by some user which I will not share right away. This guy is threatening to hack this account offline . Threatening to beat me up if he could in person. Sent me like 20 voice messages but no messages in text .
How can I prove this because i'm worried that my partner cannot play this account again .

 

Yeah,it's one of the many spam/phishing messages floating about at the moment.

Just report & block via your console.

As long as you don't go to any of the sites & enter your details then your perfectly safe.

 

I've received two. Just block communications from the user.

 

I've gotten about 12 I worry for the little kids that will go to the sites

 

4 of them here so far. Block AND report.

 

No one loves me, I got none...



I kinda want some also. No one has fun anymore, "block, report, blahh, blahh, blahh". I want to have fun with the Online scrubs that send these. Ask questions like, "4 reel?" or "wat do i do?".

 

Blcitizens won't working they are creating too many accounts to anything other then Microsoft to shut the site down not to mention receivein emails or any spam messages to Canadian citzens are now illegal

 

No worries friend. As you can see from the above responses it's a well known scam that is very ineffective and little more than just a nuisance. In no way are you at risk... well unless you actually try to get one of their "free" Xbox's. I also advise you
to not respond to these random messages. It may open the gate for more absurd advertisement and scam messages.

 

i actually did reply, I told them where to go, not had one since

 

i received one once i didnt reply to it and the scamer sent me another message sayin 'Are You Blind'...

I havtn had one since then
