    Strange Issue with XBOX LIVE-Newbie issue


    Hi everyone

    I am new to XBOX LIVE so forgiveness for the newbie questions so here goes. I have an XBOX ONE, it is the Assassins Creed Bundle so it came with TWO 14 day free XBOX LIVE GOLD codes..so I put them both in, I guess not knowing that both don't stack so I guess
    that means that its really just 14 days now..fine I can live with that..so I figured, hey since I have those 14 days I Can go ahead and download some of those freebie games that are available, like Worms Battleground, says its FREE..so it downloads to 100
    percent then says "Installation cannot continue" I click on it and it says that I need XBOX LIVE GOLD in order to download it..if that's the case how come it went to 100 percent before giving me that error..tried that with a few games already..and I have no
    idea what is going on here..I should have GOLD For 14 days so what gives..and how come it will download something but then stop when it gets to 100 percent..so either something is funky going on with XBOX LIVE(like the issues its been having the past few days)
    or something Im doing is wrong or maybe I got *** out of those 14 days I cant even check to find out. When I go to subscriptions it just tells me to buy Gold..so any help I would really appreciate it thank U

    Strange issue

    Having some strange issues with my turtle beaches. Sometimes when i first tune on the xbox and then the pad the sound doesn't work, i have to unplug the adaptor and then plug it back in to work. This issue also happens if the controller disconnects after being away for a while. Does this happen to anyone else. I know my controller is updated with the latest software.

    Strange issue

    I use turtle beach ghosts phantoms and I have been having a similar problem with sound not working with the adaptor last few days. I will be in party chat, others hear me but I cant hear them but the game sound goes away, if I switch to game chat sound comes back. if I remove the adaptor from controller the sound disappears again, why I don't know as the sound is through optical.

    Is the account you applied the Gold account to the same as the one you have just posted with? If so, it says you have a Silver Account. When did you redeem the code, how did you redeem it? Through the console or through Xbox.com?

    After claiming a code it can take a little while to update your status in the system. When that changes to GOLD you can re-try the Worms download and it should complete.

    Cheers for the response. Same issues, only mw2 was second hand, all of the other games are/were brand new. Any clue as to what is wrong with the console itself? Thanks.

    No real way to determine. You could try that-now-legendary-fix "clearing the cache": I don't know exactly what it is, but it gets applied for just about any and all console problems. Whatever you do, resist the urge to open the console for any kind of
    self-repair. Also resist the urge to take it anywhere that advertises gaming console repair. The reason for these warnings is that MS states that the console should be opened execpt by them. If you do so (or someone else does), MS will detect that the next
    time you log onto Live and you will eventually get a console ban. In which case you will never connect to Live again...at least with that console. And if it turns out that niether you nor somelse's repair fails to work, since it has been opened MS will not
    repair it either. The best thing is fork out $100-$120 and send it in to MS for repair.

    Strange issues

    I have actually had a similar problem. It sounds silly but I did the whole unplug, wait like 30 minutes, and plug back in method and it worked. You need to make sure that it is fully unplugged from the TV, outlet, and console.
