    Strange issue with Xbox Elite Series 2 controller and Alpha ring playing Halo 5


    This is going to be hard to explain but it has only happened to me since receiving the new Xbox Elite series 2 controller . I am unsure if this is an issue with the Xbox One X console being in the Alpha ring, Controller, or Halo 5.

    When starting a match I will notice (sometimes) for some reason the buttons are mapped differently then Halo 5's default. When I check the controller settings they are on default but pressing the (I.E. grenade throw LB) I will get a different result . Changing the controller mapping to a different one like "South Paw" and back to default corrects the issue.

    Edit. Yes I have hard rebooted the Xbox. Issue does resurface.

    I do not have custom profile settings on the controller and always played with the default setting. I am in the Alpha ring (Xbox One X). I am unsure how I am suppose to report this and have had a difficult time replicating the issue.

    Have you tried resyncing the controller since the update? I’m wondering if the stick was slightly left during the initialization and now reads center as left.

    I also am experiencing this issue after purchasing the Halo Elite Series 2 controller, unable to use it in bluetooth as the A button toggles the xbox game bar and there isn't a prompt to update the firmware on xbox accessories app.
