Strange. Please try holding the power button on the console for 10 seconds until it shuts down to see if that helps the issue.

Thanks for your reply. I tried re-syncing on a different controller and it worked. Still seems odd that plugging in a headset as designed would cause the system to shut down. Strange...

Hey guys! This is a known issue with the 1407 system update. The controller has some strange issues, like the chat adapter failing to work, the controller disconnecting and freezing the system, and the problem you mentioned, the controller failing to power
the system on.

Some additional info on this issue from personal experience, it only applies to Instant-on mode; a hard shut down WILL work temporarily (hold power for 8-12 seconds until the power brick turns orange, unplugging should not be necessary.) At this point, the
controller will successfully power on the system and continue to work in Instant on mode for a handful of attempts, but there will come a point where you will power down the system and you'll notice the controller remains on. This appears to be when the glitch
happens: in my experience, when the controller fails to power down, it will also fail to wake up the system until another hard shut down.

I've also been told that the engineers are aware of and working on this issue!

Same happening to me but It's pretty strange. Sometimes It works for hours before a random shut down, or has no issue at all. And sometimes it powers off 10mins after I start using it.

Try doing a hard boot on your console. Many times it will correct strange issues. Press the power button on the console down for 10 seconds or until the console shuts down completely. Give it a couple of minutes then restart the console. Try your controller
and let us know if you are still having issues.
