Strange Headset Problems

so i downloaded the new dashboard update last night and now i can't talk to anyone it keeps saying "no mic found for this person " does anyone know how to fix this ? i called xbox and all they could tell me to do is post here.

 

been having the same issue, since they released the new dashboard update on the 28th, two headsets two controllers none of them are catching my voice, but I'm able to hear everything

 

Have the problem for days now. Ign limited it says. Whatever that means!

 

exactly the same thing here i puchased a new controller and new headset powercycled messed with port fowarding and lots of other things still not working thank god we dont pay for this service ..... oh wait

 

This recently happened to me, too. There was a new update (the Cortona update), and then my mic just stopped working. They won't replace it, even though it had everything to do with the update.

 

My mic stopped working following the Cortona update. I called customer services and followed their instruction to check it wasn't my network or chat settings. I even called my Internet service provider to check it wasn't the ports. eventually, and quite
reluctantly, they agreed to send me a replacement. But i had to spend almost an hour on the phone with them and insist it was the update not my internet!!

 

iv had this problem as well since july still isnt fix and xbox cant help they don't know what to do they tell me its the xbox its self and i need to send it in has any one fixed this issue i have the headset that comes with the xbox iv bought 10 and none
work and iv also opend the ports still not working can anyone help ?
