1. Strange "followers"

SwampDawg, while I'll admit that I'm yet to be one of your stalkers.. at times I might "friend" someone, i.e. follow them, so later on I can send them an invite to play. Yea usually they'll be like "Who the heck are you" but I'll just respond with "Oh, I
just played with you the other day and you were pretty good, care to shoot some noobs?" or something like that. Sometimes being harassed immediately after THAT match is a little weirder than the next day or next week.

.

Plus, I just take every new follower as someone else who sees my brilliance and perfection! lol

:)

"New followers" Notifications

Since the Xbox One update (Windows 10) everything works fine, exept "new followers" I used to see them, but now I don't(I know that they should show up in Activity alerts, but they don't). I looked up what to do to fix it , enable it in notification (was
already activated), tryed a hard reset/reboot (still didn't changed anything), so as now I'm asking in this Forum to get help, to try to fix it.

(if that helps, or change anything, my Xbox One is in french)

Followers question

When you block and report, they don't show up in the followers list.

LOL,next gen and the many, many stalking options on xb1,of course they are all out to get you.

-

People like your uploads they will follow you,I personally like the more relaxed, less in your face friend/follow system, hopefully most of the time I get on with any new followers, and I then have the option to add them as a friend, perfect.

-

Visa versa im not going to hit it off with every single person ever,so they stay as follower, its alot less intrusive than the "be my friend 360 messages".Ive got some great gamers on my friends list now due to the follow system of which are becoming good
friends so all good.

5. I've met some awesome people by getting random fr's so I'll always give someone a chance, well most of the time anyway. You should give it a go OP, say hello and interact with some of these people.

if you are familiar with social networks... twitter, facebook etc... there are some people that just "NEED" the most friends possible...it borderlines OCD... you will see people on Facebook with 1500+ friends... same thing happening here... imagine how
bad it will be with a "recent players" list...

I have to agree the system is kind of creepy.

Xbox Live does not request permission from you if a follower wants to add you (it does for friend requests though). If that's so, then in our interests, followers SHOULDN'T be able to view material which your "friends" can if in your privacy settings you've
reserved things like online status/name/bio/all your friends gamertags on your friends list for "Friends Only". This is an integral part to your privacy rights and security on Xbox Live something which M takes seriously. They're not really a friend unless
the system asks to accept or decline a friend request - they're a f-o-l-l-o-w-e-r.

It would be good if Xbox Live asks permission to Accept or Decline a follower request or to Block follower requests all together. I'm not anti-social - I only want peps on my friends list or followers list if we know at least a bit about each other and hang
out, not some random who you'll never get to really know. If I don't know at least a bit about you and you don't message me and we don't play the same games I will block you. I've had about 5 who have followed me. Blocked all of them because I knew nothing
about them. Even Xbox 360 Notifications or when you check your friends list on 360 or xbox.com doesn't tell you you have followers even under messages on xbox.com. I find I have to log onto my xbox 1 console to check if I have followers.

.

It can be funny or if it makes you fell popular, but if you feel uncomfortable with it just block them (as soon as you find out ;D).

I don't care about it. If it makes a random stranger happy to follow me, so be it.
There are no friend requests. You can add someone, but you will simply be listed as one of their followers until they add you back.

How could you possibly get a friend request on a system which has no notifications?
but I find it disturbing that someone would just start following me for no reason.
You are an Ambassador.

Part of the duties of the Ambassador Program is to create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for other gamers on LIVE.

It would be assumed by many that you, as an Ambassador, would be more friendly than others.

That is likely why you are getting 'random' follows.
Unless you have that in your profile and the only place someone can see that you are an Ambassador is on the forums. Someone would not follow you unless they came and search your GT here after a match. But you scenario could
not happen unless they add Ambassador badges like the Launch badge or Kinect badge on Major Nelson's X1 profile.
It's very common for people to add someone whom they've seen on the forums. It's not like the Xbox One is the only method of adding people.
