I spoke to a representative in the Virgin Media team who said that it is a broadband issue and it is something to do with an update on their side which is causing issues with Xbox Live.

I'll post something up when I hear any news but the automated line says they have an engineer out fixing the connection as we speak - fingers crossed!

Could you reset your Xbox network settings back to factory defaults. Here's how:

1. Turn off your console.
2. Wireless connection only: Unplug the Xbox 360 Wireless Networking Adapter from the USB port.
   
3. Turn on your console.
4. Press the Guide button on your controller, go to
   Settings, and select System Settings.
   
5. Select Network Settings.
6. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
   
7. Select Configure Network.
8. On the Additional Settings tab, select Restore to Factory Defaults.
   

Could you make sure UPnP (Universal Plug and Play) setting on your router is turned on.

Hello everyone! Thanks for the suggestions but I have tried both and to no avail! I cleared the cache as well and that also hasn't done anything! Same error status report as well! Any ideas?

To start with, have you tried restarting your network equipment?

1. Turn off your console and network hardware (for example, your modem and router).
   
2. Wait 30 seconds.
3. Turn on your modem and wait for it to come back online (approximately one minute).
   
4. Turn on the next piece of hardware (for example, the router), and wait another minute.
   

You may also want to reset your Xbox network settings to the defaults.

Clear you Xbox system cache. This will remove temporary files and data from the system cache.
