Strange controller problem, Pt 2

So recently I made a post how the controller I got back at the first of the year has developed "creeping", "drifting" or whatever: when the game start in a FPS the right stick immediately has the character staring into space. So I found a few DIY videos
and they all started with "you need a torx size 8. Well I got only it ain't working. After getting a few smaller ones, they ain't working. And now that I have really studied the controller I see why: the star-shaped screws have a small raised center.
So none of the torx bits are going to fit in them. Any ideas? Do I just need to simply get another?

Xbox Wireless Controller Wont Work On Laptop

I'm going away on business for a month. And I wanted to play Borderlands on my laptop with my Wireless Controller. I downloaded and installed this: http://www.microsoft.com/nz/digital...360_controller_for_windows_to_a_computer.mspx


Everything installed fine. The game starts up fine,etc. Except the Controller won't sync up. That's what I thought the download was for? My wireless controller is connected to the laptop through the Xbox Controller USB Charge cord.

I thought that the software would let me use my wireless controller on my laptop through the cord?. But no.


So,how do I make my wireless controller work on my laptop? Without having to buy the Wireless Receiver Controller pack?

Not receiving credit for purchaes

Hi,

I've noticed that recently I've not been receiving rewards credit for purchaes made. I've purchased 2 games (Life is Strange pt.1 and Destiny 2) but the only points showing up in my account relate to the survey.

Any ideas?

 

Never had an issue with drifting but bought one of these:

Cant go wrong at £1 a pair

If changing the thumb sticks doesn't work I think you will be in need of a new controller

 

Have you tried looking online for the correct screw driver? I found the right set at a hardware store in the crafts section.
