    Strange Characters on game and chat invites


    The characters are mostly correct but are not english. basically I am getting foreign letter variations, russian, french, german umlauts above the letter u etc. Anyone else having this problem? It just seems to affect invites.

    When put like that I think it is actually a great system, but as usual Microsoft have done nothing to explain how it works.

    Party chats, and game invites are... Awful. : xboxone

    I agree pretty much with this. The 360s party, chat and game invite process was fine. It's seamless integration of friends was one of the reasons I went for the One. Backwards step in my opinion.

    Character Names vs Gamertags

    We should see character names; that is apparently the norm. I'm not widely experienced though. You can use the character name to chat or invite someone to a group though.

    Party chat is a voice chat with only people that you invite or invite you in a group, in-game chat is the chat with everyone that is in the match you're playing in.

    Finally got around to finishing Alan Wake and...

    ^^ You'll like it. It has some really strange characters. It is definitely an atmospheric game.
