strange bug- cant purchase unrated games

Only way I can purchase anything with an age rating now is through the web store now. On both the Xbox one and the windows 10 marketplace I am told "To buy this, an adult needs to change your family settings at account.microsoft.com/family"

Bit of a problem as I am the adult! Plus I no longer have any family settings on my Microsoft account as I removed them all when this started. I am also unable to watch any unrated content on Amazon video so a lot of the TV shows on there are displaying
with a padlock on my Xbox one and cant be watched.

Please sort this out.

 

Hey, guys! Anything from within the apps themselves needs to be directed towards the developer. We are unable to control what content you are able to see in those apps, and the Xbox Live settings should not be affecting that. However, if you have a child
account *signed in* to the console while attempting to look at that content, it might be causing the block. Make sure only an adult account (that is, an account that has a birthday set to the legal adult age or over for the Xbox Live account, NOT the security
settings) is signed in, and try again.

For the purchasing issue, you guys should be able to use the Xbox App for those purchases on both iOS devices and Android devices. We are still working on resolving this so that it no longer causes an issue on the Xbox One and the website, however I have
no further information for you on that front. Once I do get more information, I will be sure to post back in here for you. Thanks again to everyone for their continued patience while we work on resolving this!

 

i am haveing the same problem there's two games ask for you"ll still need your parent permission purchaseing Neverwinter zen coins and onigiri coins its a glitch my account is a adult account and i check other games and DLC and dosen't show up this need
to be investigated immediately its mistake its a glitch in the xbox store.

 

and its a bug when you go buy neverwinter zen coins and it ask you you"ll need parent permission and onigri coins ask the samething its only these two games neverwinter and onigri not other games have problems just these games so yea can you fix that problem
and take that bug out of these games i will be happy if you guys do that because i have tell you about because lets you guys know that something not here xbox support team can you fix this bug please and Thank You.

i found what the problem is neverwinter add on content wasn't rated yet it said on xbox app unrated and onigiri said the samething add on content as well and dosen't have rateding on the right on my xbox one on add content all the other games right have
rated not neverwinter ir onigiri adds on content.

Yes, they have. Apologies! With the platform switch, we lost some posts, but we're working on recovering those.

This has not been resolved, but we are still looking into it. With my posts no longer in here, I wanted to make sure everyone knew that we were still looking into this, even though it appears that we're not. Thanks for everyone's patience while we try to

I have the same problem although it occurs when Im trying to buy a tv show or movie but I can still buy 18 rated games.

 

It is truly incredible... I am an xboxlive customer since 10 years. I am 37 years old now. This means that i never had a child account. Adult from the very beginning.

now i wanted to watch a movie (hardcore henry) and it says i need an adult. The exact same problem mentioned before.

i am extremely frustrated... I have spend severeal thousand francs on xboxlive and never had an issue. No i want to watch my first movie on my xboxone and its not working... Pretty bad advertising. I am really mad that a bug like this even exists in the
first place.

am i supposed to buy a dammed apple tv just to watch the movies i want?

bring a fix for this ridiculous bug. Asap.

Still have this issue, four months on... What a way to treat your customers, Microsoft - simply ignore them all together.
