Strange black screen

Have you tried this?

Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

2. Wait 30 seconds, then plug the power cord back in.

3. Press and hold the BIND (controller sync button located on the left side of the console or bottom right if a one S or one X) and the EJECT button and then just press the Xbox button on the console once.

4. Continue holding the BIND and EJECT buttons for 10-15 seconds.

5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the BIND and EJECT buttons after the second power-up tone.

6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter.

7. To reset your console from the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, use the D-pad and A button on your controller to select Reset this Xbox.

9. When prompted, select Keep games and apps. This option will reset the OS and delete all potentially corrupted data without deleting your games or apps.

If that not helps try to reset resolution in startup troubleshooter.

Before doing the above mentioned startup reset have you tried clearing your cache incase there's a glitch on your console buy holding the power button on console for 10 seconds until it powers off the boot it back up and try again.

Sometimes I get a black screen as well, it's been happening for about a year now and I haven't found a permanent fix. The only way I know to fix my issue is that I will press the Home button on the controller, bring up the side menu, press the Home selection
on the menu, and that will refresh the dashboard and put you back on the Home screen. Unfortunately, you usually have to reload the game from here though and it boots it up fresh again, so you might lose progress in your game as it will load back to your last
save point. Sorry you are having to deal with this as well.

Hey there that's strange... cause the first time, after the black screen, it should go back to the previous settings....
