Is there a place to store items?

im still near the beginning of the game and just wondered further on do you get a place to store items.

Go to the college, look at the statue, look left, go thru those doors. Your room is the first room on the right. One way you can tell is go in the room a look at the barrels, if it says steal, that's not your room.

I ended up storing my items at winterhold college because a dragon chased me from winterhold to the college. Everyone came outside and we beasted on it. It's bones lay right in front of the statue. The NPS's walk under the dragon to enter and leave the college,
lol. Its awesome.

 

I don't think so. but you can get bigger saddle bags for the horse so you can carry more stuff! I sell most of my stuff for cash!

 

There is no storage space. Which is stupid. Especially since crafting some of the high end witcher gear requires using the lower end gear as a component. So you can either lug it around for eternity. Or get rid of it then have to craft it again later

 

find it annoying but, crafting items don't weight much so not really a huge problem. but would be nice to at least have a storage area, even if you had like a locker in one of the citys or something

 

You can buy or win extra storage via saddle bags. The merchant inside the putrid grove in novigrad sells +100 storage.

 

You can get more storage - for free - by doing some of the horse races. You will get awarded saddlebags (and other horsey bits) at some point. Not the best ones but welcome especially if you grab everything like me!

 

Sell/Breakdown stuff you dont need, no point in having 20 swords. keep 1 extra if you want just in case you dont have a repair kit and you're stuck in some dungeon

Seems I'm always running out of space now with the 70-saddlebags.

I'm taking a risk and dumping all the crossbow bolts that I hoarded on the floor of a tavern because I didn't realize how heavy they were. I didn't really want to sell them though, so hopefully they will still be there if I need them.
