    I'm new to the whole Xbox thing and have been setting mine up today. I saw a neat avatar in the store that I wanted to purchase and figured it would be straightforward enough. Tried to purchase it through the console and it gives me the error "You have
    no valid payment options on file". Okay, I have no credit card on file, figured that much so I added one. Go back to try and purchase it again and it still is saying the same thing. Figuring maybe it's an issue with the console so I tried to purchase it
    through the Xbox Avatars app on Windows. You guessed it, same error message. Getting frustrating now.

    I decide to contact MS through chat to see if there is anything they could do about it. She must've tried for around a half an hour to get some resolution various ways but eventually gave up and said to contact my CC company about it. Possible they won't
    authorize purchases so I tried a different card after I got off chat. Still giving me the same error message. Why is the store (either via console or app) not seeing the credit card I have on file when I can see it clear as day through the account settings?!?

    PLay Anywhere

    Install Windows 10. Sign in with the same details you use on your Xbox Account. Go to the Windows Store and find the game under Your Account.

    Don't know if it is available yet since I refuse to use the Windows Store.

    How to know what points card to buy?

    I am really confused. Xbox.com refuses to charge my credit card. I want to buy 1600 live points from another stores, but it is really confusing - which to get: EU or US?

    Ok now I know why I can't buy it without a credit card on the us store. But why is the game not available at the German store?

    Yeah but why should I do that when I have valid credit and debit cards. They refuse to take a payment on the card for xbl but will charge me for points does not make sense

    Or simply never buy on Xbox Store.

    I will wait for gift cards to be used for anything - as they deny that as payment for Gold and similar.

    But games can be bought with Gift Cards I think.

    And buy Gold subscription codes at retail.

    One way to go.

    I avoid places that store your card credentials if possible - like Paypal.

    Google try to force me to register card credentials, having Android phone - but I refuse.

    I also refused Vimeo since they both require stored card credentials as well as do auto-renew that require extra operations to removing that to remove card credentials.

    You can also use prepaid credit cards and register those, unless prohibited, don't know.

    These can be short expire period for single purchase even -and limited amounts.

    Thats the problem I am not willing to add my credit card and thats why I bought credit from a store. The credit shows up on my account but I cannot use it.

    Yet the only people who shop at rent a center are crackheads and people who refuse to pay their bills. Rent A Center is very popular in the ghetto. We have none in our northern suburbs. Normal people just finance with a major credit card or a store card
    that offers same as cash.
