    Store app - turns up among updates every day - what is it?


    Hi

    The other day there turned up among updates an green app, looked a bit like mediaplayer symbol - but said just Store as name.

    Manage it it says Installed - but currently unavailable.

    I installed it the other day - 142 MB.

    But next day it turns up again among updates.

    So I installed again - another wasted 142 MB - because there is no app among apps with name Store.

    It never shows up among recently installed, just disappears.

    I have vague memory I got a bluray update that I did not do - but that was gone and this one instead.

    I have so little bandwidth left this month - so now wasted 280 MB on this.

    Last month I had 30 MB left the last day of month.

    So what is this strange fenomena?

    Seems like a bug or virus or something?

    What day does x box update thier store every week. I know playstation does it on Tuesday what is x boxs day?

    The September puzzles have not come. I have done the Windows update. I've been getting them for a few years, every day and somehow they didn't turn up this month. What do I do...do I have to download them again or what...?

    I had the same problem I fixed it last night . try to power cycle for 10 seconds then unplug it for 30 seconds . try to keep your xbox one off line mode since your internet is limited.

    This "update" has caused me nothing but trouble. From locking me out of the store to stopping me from downloading certain games.

    Strangely though not downloading the "update" effects nothing and everything is working fine for me without it.

    Thank you. Seems like good advice, will try it out.

    Yes, I do keep console not fast boot(if they call power saving mode is what I use).

    As I had this memory there were a bluray app update I never did, I uninstalled bluray app, and then installed again.

    Today at least it did not show up again.

    I have left without updating bluray before and never anything funny - so may be a coincidence.

    If it does turn up again - I try power cycle thingy.

    Try turning on auto updates in play store to keep app up to date.

    You could try to delete and re install the app, it will get the latest software on update.

    I understand you need help with your game problem.

    If I may ask, does the game show up on your Microsoft store app? Try cancelling it on MS store app as well and turn off auto updates from there. You can also log out and log back in on both Xbox app and Microsoft store. See if that helps.
